The North Central Texas Community Cleanup Challenge layers a friendly regionwide competition on top of all litter cleanup events and activities happening within the region during the timeframe March 1 through May 31. Any type of litter cleanup activity conducted during this timeframe counts towards the overall totals for each city where the cleanup activity occurred. This means that organized cleanups through Keep Texas Beautiful affiliates, city departments, local non-profits, Scout troops, and environmental clubs all count! Informal cleanup activities, such as collecting litter on a daily walk or jog through neighborhoods and parks, also count towards the goal of removing as much trash and litter from our environment as possible. Each of these activities can be logged to help push cities closer towards the goal of being the community that collected the most trash and litter during the challenge. Each cleanup that is logged is connected to the community in which it took place.
All cleanup efforts must be logged by filling out the form on the Texas Litter Database. NCTCOG staff will review all data input throughout the competition to ensure validity and correctness. While we will do our best to ensure this competition is judged fairly and accurately, we make no guarantee of the accuracy and shall not be held liable for any errors that may result in any particular outcome.

Before entering the Challenge, be sure to read the fine print.
